just ordinary seminar

i saw a seminar in my faculty yesterday. the seminar talked about biotechnology in plant. Whereas it isn't a new in worldwide but i am still interest. yeah i interest cz it related to plant n my major "plant protection". he talked that GM product can increase production of plant and save biodiversity and anything else. oke, i almost know what he told to us but i can't accept his statement that GM product can save biodivesity. it's so ridiculous to believed that statement. anyone know that some plants cross pollinated its life cycle. if GM product planted beside non GM product and they can cross pollinated and make a new variety. it makes biodiversity in my country decreases. he just explain that theory without thinking about how acres of land  owned by one farmer in my country. it is irrelevant remember farmer just have a little hectares and pollen from GM product can fall at flower non GM. so i think he has to thinking more before told it. overall that seminar is good. i can 2 point in that seminar about planted plant, 1. has to choose seperior seed to planted cz seed will  determine production, and 2. has to update science and technology, it can make ease what we do and make production of plant is planted increase,but farmer has to thinking about this technology is relevant or irrelevant to used.
